Dimensions:
A hooded “Maleficent” figure holding a spider monkey. I think of the figure as someone you’d meet in a fairytale, who could be peceieved as a big bad wolf, or also the Baba Yaga. I think of the monkey as sometimes feeling ghostly and haunting, but also a kind of “Navi” fairy companion who shouts “Hey Listen!” occasionally and plays with time in a hum of an ocarina.
I think this piece is about holding reality/unreality, sometimes in un-equal measures. I have thoughts around societal ideas around “madness” and internal/external forces in interaction with each other.
